Nothing creates a good impression like a clean, modern and bright car interior with controls that make using the elevator an efficient but pleasurable experience. In addition, there are a number of enhancements that make the use of elevators easier for people with disability, like visual indicators, audible tones, tactile buttons and inductive loops for use with hearing devices.

Indicators and tones

A range of elevator indicators are available to provide clear information on the direction of travel, the current floor level and even future stops that the elevator will make. The information is displayed using a range of solutions, from simple illuminated symbols to computer controlled LCD screens that can provide more detailed travel information, both inside the elevator and at the landings.

Car operating buttons

These can be upgraded to incorporate tactile elements, with raised numbers and Braille coding, together with illumination to improve visibility to passengers with impaired sight.

In car digital Tv’s

LCD display screens can be used to display elevator information, company presentations/news or television pictures inside the elevator to passengers while they travel.

Hall call touch screens

Modern elevator control systems incorporate touch screen terminals located outside the elevator , usually in the lobby areas, directing each passenger to their designated lift. The system also allows company branding and user information messages to be programmed, together with executive PIN code access. Disabled access features can also be incorporated, providing a large tactile button that announces the destination floor levels in sequence until the button is released, allowing easy use of this type of control system.
