First impressions
One of the most common reasons for modernising an elevator is to change the appearance of the interior design, helping to give a modern and inviting impression of the elevator and the building. There are a wide range of interior design elements that can be incorporated into today's modern elevators, allowing you to customise almost every aspect, creating the design that is right for your building.
Car operating panel
The panel containing the lift control buttons and indicating elements can give a modern feel to your existing elevator
Lighting
The use of up lighter and down lighter arrangements can give a more inviting impression of the elevator to passengers
Mirror
Makes the elevator interior appear larger, giving passengers the impression of more travel space and assisting disabled passengers navigate inside the car
Handrails
Provides reassurance and comfort for elderly and disabled passengers to manoeuvre inside the lift car, can also be adapted
as a perch to rest on.
Flooring
A range of materials are available to distinguish from or match the flooring outside the elevator, including carpet, vinyl and stone/marble tiles
Wall panels
Choose from a selection of stainless steel, glazed, wood or solid colour panels that offer different qualities according to durability, resistance to damage and interior design requirements. Alternatively create your own bespoke car interior using a predefined specification.
Skirting
A simple way of hiding the join between floor and wall material, also protects the wall panels from damage caused by footwear.
Entrance
The surround for the lift doors, helping to hide the opening of the wall into the lift shaft, can be designed to compliment the interior design of the building.
Ventilation
The standard solution is for natural ventilation provided by the air movement as the car travels, this can be upgraded with fan
assisted ventilation, or fully automatic air conditioning.
Customisation
The possibilities are endless but may include the incorporation of company logos, coloured lighting, background music, backlit
graphics on the wall panels etc.
